If you want to convict a crime boss, you flip one or more of his top underling co-conspirators against him. It’s now clear that the DOJ and Special Counsel Jack Smith are doing precisely that to Donald Trump, after they asked a judge to hold Donald Trump’s legal team in contempt of court. It’s a way to rather quickly force them to either cut deals against Trump or go down with him. These are the moves you take when you’re about to indict.

This comes even as the DOJ is making what appear to be endgame moves in the parallel 1/6 criminal probe into Donald Trump, by having people like Pat Cipollone testify to the grand jury and assembling Trump’s communications with election officials in various states. These are also the moves you take when you’re about to indict.

The court appointed Special Master also ceased to exist as of yesterday, with Trump not having even bothered to try making a futile appeal to the Supreme Court. This is also the kind of decision you make when you’re a defendant and you know you’re about to be indicted and you know there’s nothing left you can do to stop it or delay it.

The DOJ is revealing that it’s about to criminally indict and arrest Donald Trump. Trump knows the DOJ is about to criminally indict and arrest him. Now we’re getting into the fun part – well, fun for everyone but Trump and his co-conspirators.
