There are some people who should say as little as possible because when they start to flap their jaws, they reveal how achingly stupid they are. Marjorie Taylor Greene, whom I have nicknamed “Jaws,” is one of those people. Greene is currently being mocked after making a fool of herself during the first meeting of the House oversight and accountability committee.

Gene Dodaro is the comptroller general for the U.S. and leads the government accountability office. And on Wednesday he appeared at this meeting. Greene made the mistake of trying to act like she’s a serious legislator. That would not end well because Greene is not anything but a jaw-flapping insurrectionist.

Greene, pretending she knew what she was talking about, asked him about a school in Illinois she claimed received $5 billion in Covid relief funds to be directed toward the teachings of critical race theory.

It was a particularly embarrassing moment for republicans — well — it would have been had they any capacity to feel embarrassment. Of course, what Greene said is not true. Do I even need to say this? Dodaro himself looked utterly perplexed. It really would have been funny were it not so tragic.

This is the type of leadership the GOP presents to us. I think, in a way, Greene having this extra power given her by Kevin McCarthy might just be good for our side because she is absolutely ridiculous, and everybody can see it every time she opens those insurrectionist jaws of hers.

Twitter went absolutely crazy with delight upon hearing about this. The comments were so over the top, and they’re still pouring in. The bottom line is nearly everyone agreed that Marjorie Taylor Scream has a screw loose.
