Russia reports attack by over 60 drones

Russians complained about a large-scale drone attack on the night of Tuesday, December 31. Russian air defense allegedly shot down 68 drones, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports.

According to the Russian government agency, during the past night, air defense systems destroyed 68 UAVs.

Twenty-five drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, 11 over the Krasnodar region, 10 over the Smolensk region, two over the Tver region, and one each over the Rostov, Kursk, and Kaluga regions.

Furthermore, 17 UAVs were allegedly shot down over the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Night explosions in Russia

Earlier, we reported that explosions were heard in the Oryol region of Russia on the night of December 22. At that time, the governor of the region complained about a drone attack. According to him, a fire broke out at the Staryi Kon oil depot.

And tonight, in the city of Yartsevo, the Smolensk region, an aerial attack using drones took place. As a result, the local oil depot was hit, and a fire broke out at the site.
