The Latest Hypothetical “Communication” from the Hypothetical Meshuggah – Demiurge!!!

“Collision – Collusion” News Alert!!!

12:20 PM 7/10/2018 – NEWLYWED HUSBAND IS KILLED AFTER ZIPLINE COLLISION IN CARIBBEAN

Egael Tishman – Shif Fanken – Honduras: “Eagle! [Ironically: you, “gorniy oryol“]… Tish… Tishe, man… Tishe-man, (“a jerk with a large dick”, in the second meaning: the “Winner-Weiner”, the “Prince”, etc.), shiffank youfankendanken. Hon, duras!”. Or on dangers of zip-lining (jumping to conclusions) and the geopolitical risks of romantic marriages, including the Orthodox Jewish ones. A lot of shif… Especially if they jump the fence all the time. Duras, Hon; duras!
This is my interpretation of this accident (and quite possibly, the crime) as the message. This approach to interpretation may be viewed as the sub-type of “Steganography” (“the practice of concealing a file, message, image, or video within another file, message, image, or video”: the messages within the message, the “files”, or “semantic files” within a file, speaking in tongues, in codes, in symbols), similar to the Social Steganography, or subculture – subgroup specific type of messaging which is said to be in use by the intelligence services. This practice is built on the principles of jargonlingoslang, “urban dictionary“.

It is close to the literary tools of symbolismstelling namesallegories, and the genre of parables, mixed with the genres of the reality shows and the acts of the Performance Crimes. These are the Puzzles: to understand, to interpret, to unravel, to solve. This approach to semantic interpretations of crimes, accidents, and the related phenomena can be called the “Interpretational Steganography“, “Steganalysis“, “Semantic Steganalysis“, or the “Hermeneutic Steganalysis“, or simply the Hermeneutic Analysisincluding in criminology. The Hermeneutic Analysis in Criminology may be viewed as the qualitative scientific research aiming to detect (to establish) the “true patterns“.

The use of the word “puzzle” went up 100% between 1950 and 2010. I guess people are getting much more puzzled these days, and they try to define this puzzlement. And this em-puzzlement has to be interpreted.

The Meshuggah – Demiurge Or The German Hypothesis Of The Operations “Trump” And “9/11” – By Michael Novakhov

Related imageM.N.: One occurrence may be a coincidence, two may be a link, more than two may form a pattern (gestalt, stylestyle is combination of patterns, concept, paradigm, idea, habit, logical chain, etc., etc.), and the patterns always have to be taken seriously, because they might shine the light on the paths of the true developments and lead to the true explanations.

“A pattern is a discernible regularity in the world or in a man-made design. As such, the elements of a pattern repeat in a predictable manner.”
Thus, the detection and further investigations of patterns may have predictive, prognostic, and the preventive values. The patterns point to the style, and the style may point to the “author”. Establishing the true patterns is the major task and one of the priorities in all purposeful intellectual mental activities in general, and in conducting the investigations in particular.

Pattern Recognition, as a mental process, in Intelligence and Counterintelligence Analysis,

is based on the same general principles as in medical diagnosis or any other investigative activity. This similarity was observed by the various writers some time ago. The diagnostic errors are made in both the Medicine and the Investigative work, they are the part of the practice and a part of the hypothesis building process. However, it might be a little easier to identify the truth and the true processes in real life and in social structures than in human body. The costs of these diagnostic errors in Intelligence Analysis might be immeasurably much higher. Was the official investigation and its results, of 9/11, one of such errors? How correct and how complete is our understanding of the whole post-1991 period? One diagnostic error might lead to the next, they snowball; and it becomes the nightmare. The procedural safeguard devices should be build into this process, the short circuit breakers; we need one now.

Who’s been charged by Mueller in the Russia probe so far?

mikenova shared this story .

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election is ongoing – and secret.
So far, four former Trump campaign associates – Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Richard Gates and George Papadopoulos – have been charged, though none of the charges are directly related to any misconduct by the president’s campaign.
Alex van der Zwaan, an attorney, pleaded guilty to lying to FBI investigators during the investigation, and was sentenced to 30 days in prison in April 2018. He was the first to be sentenced in the probe.
The special counsel filed new tax evasion and bank fraud charges against Manafort and Gates in late February, potentially increasing the amount of prison time the pair could face if convicted at trial. The charges are similar to those filed in October.
Here’s a closer look at those who have faced charges throughout Mueller’s probe.

Michael Flynn

A timeline of major events that eventually lead to former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pleading guilty for lying to the FBI.

Michael Flynn, who served as Trump’s national security adviser for less than a month before resigning, was charged and pleaded guilty in December 2017 to making false statements to the FBI.
Flynn reportedly lied about his talks with Russia’s ambassador to Washington. In late 2016, while former President Barack Obama was still in office, the two allegedly spoke about the U.S. sanctions imposed on Russia.
This raised concerns that Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general, misled Trump officials about his conversations with Russian officials.

The special counsel filed a 32-count indictment on Feb. 22 against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and aide Rick Gates, accusing the pair of tax evasion and bank fraud.
The new indictment accused Manafort and Gates of doctoring documents to inflate the income of their businesses and then using those fraudulent documents to obtain loans. It also accused Manafort of evading taxes from 2010 through 2014 and, in some of the years, concealing his foreign bank accounts.
And on Feb. 23, a newly unsealed indictment accused Manafort of secretly paying former European politicians to lobby on behalf of Ukraine.
Manafort turned himself in to federal authorities in the fall. The 69-year-old served as Trump’s campaign manager for a few months in 2016. Gates, Manafort’s business associate, also turned himself in at the time.
Manafort was initially charged in a 12-count indictment in connection with foreign lobbying work, and he pleaded not guilty. The charges included: conspiracy against the U.S., conspiracy to launder money, false statements, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, and multiple counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, according to a special counsel’s office spokesman.
In June 2018, Mueller’s team brought additional charges of obstruction of justice against Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik, an associate.
Manafort sued to have the case against him dismissed and argued that Mueller had overstepped his bounds by charging him for conduct he says is unrelated to Russian interference in the 2016 election.
On June 15, however, Manafort was jailed after a federal judge revoked his $10 million bail based on new witness tampering charges brought by Mueller.

Counterintelligence Elections 2016 Mueller Investigation My Opinion - Michael Novakhov Russian Propaganda on Social Media

M.N.: Mr. Rosenstein, please pay attention to this “matter”: If the hackers "remotely configured an overseas computer to relay communications" in DNC hack, why wouldn't they be able to do the same thing to Abedin's Blackberry device, programming it to send the copies of emails to the Abedin-Weiner's laptop for archiving? | 6:35 AM 7/14/2018 – 12 Russians Charged: Major Highlights of the Indictment and Rod Rosenstein’s Statement

M.N.: If the hackers “remotely configured an overseas computer to relay communications” in DNC hack,

why wouldn’t they be able to do the same thing to Abedin’s Blackberry device,

programming it to send the copies of emails to the Abedin-Weiner’s laptop for archiving and/or backup?

This explanation might help to solve the mystery of 650,000 emails which suddenly popped up on that laptop after her emails device was deactivated to handle the State Department emails.
The consultation with the computer experts should be able to shed some light on this issue.

Mr. Rosenstein, please pay attention to this “matter”!

It is also quite legitimate and logical, I think, to investigate the possible connections between “cryptocurrency and foreign sponsors of Trump’s campaign” – Google Search
“The indictment’s details about the Russians’ use of Bitcoin showed how cryptocurrencies — and the anonymity they provide — have become both a tool and a challenge for intelligence agencies in the battles between nation states. The Bitcoin network allows anyone to move millions of dollars across the world without any in-person meetings, and without requiring the approval of any financial institutions. For spies, that means gone are the days of covertly exchanging suitcases full of cash.

  • “The conspirators funded the purchase of computer infrastructure for their hacking activity in part by “mining” Bitcoin. Individuals and entities can mine Bitcoin by allowing their computing power to be used to verify and record payments on the Bitcoin public ledger, a service for which they are rewarded with freshly minted Bitcoin. The pool of Bitcoin generated from the G.R.U.’s mining activity was used, for example, to pay a Romanian company to register the domain dcleaks.com through a payment processing company located in the United States.”

Spies need to get their money somewhere, and Russia’s intelligence services are not nearly as well bankrolled as their American counterparts. So, in 2016, the Russians came up with a new way to secure money — they created it by mining their own Bitcoins.

12 Russians Charged: Major Highlights of the Indictment and Rod Rosenstein’s Statement – NYtimes

  • “25. On or about April 19, 2016, KOZACHEK, YERSHOV, and their co-conspirators remotely configured an overseas computer to relay communications between X-Agent malware and the AMS panel and then tested X-Agent’s ability to connect to this computer. The conspirators referred to this computer as a ‘middle server.’ The middle server acted as a proxy to obscure the connection between malware at the D.C.C.C. and the conspirators’ AMS panel.”

This level of detail clearly indicates that intelligence agencies were inside Russian computers. That might be the N.S.A. — but it could also be the Dutch or the British, who were monitoring Russian activity and providing information secretly to the United States.
It raises questions about why the United States did not act more quickly.”

“We know that Russian hackers had posed as American citizens, but we did not know until now that they used cryptocurrency to hide their identities. That is a relatively new addition to traditional means of falsifying identities. ..
The Russia hack was announced by CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm, in mid-June 2016. This suggests that the revelation did not slow the officers from the G.R.U., Russia’s military intelligence agency; they continued their hacking even though they had been exposed. This is consistent with the group’s activities when caught inside the White House computer systems, where it fought an National Security Agency operation to oust them.”

12 Russians Charged: Major Highlights of the Indictment and Rod Rosenstein’s Statement

mikenova shared this story .

Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, on Friday announced new charges against 12 Russian military intelligence officers accused of hacking the Democratic National Committee, the Clinton presidential campaign and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
[Read our main story on the latest indictments in the Russia investigation]
The following are some of the key highlights of the indictment of the Russian agents and what Mr. Rosenstein said at the announcement on Friday.

Analysis by David E. Sanger and Matthew Rosenberg

  • “4. By in or around April 2016, the conspirators also hacked into the computer networks of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (“D.C.C.C.”) and the Democratic National Committee (“D.N.C.”). The conspirators covertly monitored the computers of dozens of D.C.C.C. and D.N.C. employees, implanted hundreds of files containing malicious computer code (“malware”), and stole emails and other documents from the D.C.C.C. and D.N.C. 5. By in or around April 2016, the conspirators began to plan the release of materials stolen from the Clinton campaign, D.C.C.C. and D.N.C.”

The indictment makes no reference to the previous hack of the D.N.C. by another Russian intelligence agency. That agency appeared to just be spying — it did not publish the committee’s documents, or go into the Clinton campaign itself. Mr. Mueller focused only on efforts to influence the election, not to spy.

  • “7. The conspirators also used the Guccifer 2.0 persona to release additional stolen documents through a website maintained by an organization (“Organization 1”), that had previously posted documents stolen from U.S. persons, entities and the U.S. government. The conspirators continued their U.S. election-interference operations through in or around November 2016.”

“Organization 1” appears to be WikiLeaks. It is not clear why the indictment does not name the organization. And it does not answer the mystery of whether WikiLeaks got the documents directly or through a cutout — a critical question for those examining whether there was any link to the Trump campaign.

  • “8. To hide their connections to Russia and the Russian government, the conspirators used false identities and made false statements about their identities. To further avoid detection, the conspirators used a network of computers located across the world, including in the United States, and paid for this infrastructure using cryptocurrency.”

We know that Russian hackers had posed as American citizens, but we did not know until now that they used cryptocurrency to hide their identities. That is a relatively new addition to traditional means of falsifying identities.

  • “22. The conspirators spearphished individuals affiliated with the Clinton campaign throughout the summer of 2016. For example, on or about July 27, 2016, the conspirators attempted after hours to spearphish for the first time email accounts at a domain hosted by a third-party provider and used by Clinton’s personal office. At or around the same time, they also targeted 76 email addresses at the domain for the Clinton campaign.”

The Russia hack was announced by CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm, in mid-June 2016. This suggests that the revelation did not slow the officers from the G.R.U., Russia’s military intelligence agency; they continued their hacking even though they had been exposed. This is consistent with the group’s activities when caught inside the White House computer systems, where it fought an National Security Agency operation to oust them.

It raises questions about why the United States did not act more quickly.

  • “33. In response to Company 1’s efforts, the conspirators took countermeasures to maintain access to the D.C.C.C. and D.N.C. networks.
    a. On or about May 31, 2016, YERMAKOV searched for open-source information about Company 1 and its reporting on X-Agent and X-Tunnel. On or about June 1, 2016, the conspirators attempted to delete traces of their presence on the D.C.C.C. network using the computer program CCleaner.”

Company 1 is CrowdStrike. The countermeasures are similar to the G.R.U.’s action when caught in the White House system. It also shows an effort to cover the group’s tracks.

  • “35. More than a month before the release of any documents, the conspirators constructed the online persona DCLeaks to release and publicize stolen election-related documents. On or about April 19, 2016, after attempting to register the domain electionleaks.com, the conspirators registered the domain dcleaks.com through a service that anonymized the registrant.”

This says what has long been suspected: that the G.R.U. officers directly created DCLeaks.

  • “41. On or about June 15, 2016, the conspirators logged into a Moscow-based server used and managed by Unit 74455 and, between 4:19 PM and 4:56 PM Moscow Standard Time, searched for certain words and phrases.”

This was a day after the public revelation of the hack. It shows that the United States or one of its allies eventually got into the Russian servers to gather the evidence, or monitored the traffic from those servers.

  • “58. Although the conspirators caused transactions to be conducted in a variety of currencies, including U.S. dollars, they principally used Bitcoin when purchasing servers, registering domains and otherwise making payments in furtherance of hacking activity. Many of these payments were 21 processed by companies located in the United States that provided payment processing services to hosting companies, domain registrars and other vendors both international and domestic. The use of Bitcoin allowed the conspirators to avoid direct relationships with traditional financial institutions, allowing them to evade greater scrutiny of their identities and sources of funds.”

The indictment’s details about the Russians’ use of Bitcoin showed how cryptocurrencies — and the anonymity they provide — have become both a tool and a challenge for intelligence agencies in the battles between nation states.

The Trump-Putin summit and Germany’s delicate balancing act

mikenova shared this story from PRI: Latest Stories.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in Brussels on July 11 and 12 left Germans stunned by President Donald Trump’s relentless attacks on the nation’s contributions to the defense alliance and its economic ties to Russia.

Germans were particularly shocked by accusations that they are in bed with Russia.
“Germany, as far as I’m concerned, is captive to Russia because it’s getting so much of its energy from Russia,” Trump told NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, former leader of Norway, on the first day of the summit. “We have to talk about the billions and billions of dollars that’s being paid to the country we’re supposed to be protecting you against.”
Now, as Trump travels to Finland for a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, Germans worry that the nation’s decades-long balancing act between East and West might come tumbling down, leaving them — and Europe — reeling from the fallout.
They are bracing for the worst from what was once their once-most stalwart ally.
“The Germans are trying to assess what could be the maximum damage and how should the Europeans react if Trump does something horribly stupid,” said Gustav Gressel with the European Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin.
The transatlantic relationship is especially important for Germans, who have American investments to thank for helping rebuild the nation after World War II and helping Berlin during the Cold War. American politicking also contributed to the collapse of the communist regime in East Germany in 1989, and President George H.W. Bush’s nod of approval allowed for German reunification a year later.
Many Germans have family across the Atlantic as well, and hundreds of thousands study or work in the US each year. The German language — and food — is peppered with American influence.
Faith in that relationship and the nations’ shared democratic values, however, have made Germany reliant on the United States for its domestic security, analysts say.
Under the protection of NATO, Germany has winnowed away at its defense budget, which now stands at just 1.23 percent of GDP, according to government figures. That’s far lower than the 2 percent threshold NATO members agreed to meet by 2024, although defense spending is slated to increase in the coming years.
At the height of the German-American relationship, Germany’s dependence on the United States hardly tarnished German citizens’ views toward America. But relations experienced a major shift with the election of Trump in 2016.
Many Germans see the American president’s constant criticism of the United States’ $64 billion trade deficit with Germany and his gloating over American patronage to Germany as distasteful and an affront to nation’s sovereignty.
In 2017, 56 percent of respondents to a Pew Research Center study thought US-German relations were bad, while only 11 percent of Germans expressed confidence in Trump. That’s compared to over 80 percent who expressed confidence in the capabilities of former President Barack Obama in 2016.
“I think, generally speaking, we’re losing a very good friend,” said Jörg Dobers, 49, who works in pharmaceuticals in Berlin. “We know that Trump will be gone in four years but I’m fearful that he’ll leave much broken in his wake. That will be difficult to repair.”

‘Our former enemy’

Germany, in general, considers alliances with the US as well as with the rest of the EU as key to maintaining stability, peace and healthy trade. Throughout its history, however, the United States isn’t the only superpower with which Germany has sought to maintain close relations.
In order to pacify the Russian threat during and after the Cold War, Germany began developing energy networks with Russia, which were accelerated at the beginning of the millennium, said Gressel.
The relationship spawned massive natural gas pipelines from Russia to Germany, and Russian gas now makes up almost 10 percent of Germany’s energy mix, according to government figures.
That amount could increase when a second pipeline, Nord Stream 2, opens in the coming years, especially as Germany moves to shut down coal-fired and nuclear energy in line with its energy transition to renewable sources.

Economic and cultural rapprochement between Russia and Germany, however, reached its apex in 2014. Then, Putin annexed the Crimean Peninsula, showing that the “attempt to flatter Russia, or to provide economic incentives to Russia to make Russia more conformist and to accept Europe as it is, has basically failed,” Gressel explained.
At the time, ultra-pragmatic German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a product of Soviet-controlled East Germany who also speaks Russian, was adamant in levying sanctions against Russia for the deed. That was in spite of deep trade ties valued by businesses in Germany, a leading exporting country.
Not all Germans supported her decision.
“Germans are, all in all, for more of a cooperative tone with our former enemy in the Second World War,” said Henning Riecke with the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin.
After all, Germany’s formerly communist eastern states are still shaped by Russian culture, and many Germans feel a special relationship with Moscow.
“We have the advantage of having a chancellor who grew up in East Germany, the mid-point between East and West,” said Ruth-Janessa Funk, in her 40s, who teaches fashion marketing in Berlin.
But given increased Russian interference in Western elections, cyberattacks and Putin’s desire to fray Europe at the seams, “I think our relationship with Russia is getting so hot that it might boil over,” said Funk.

‘The Trumpian winter’

Looking forward to Helsinki on Monday, there are fears that Trump’s aggressive tone toward Germany and other traditional allies will only bolster Putin’s resolve to create chaos in the political alliances that have come to define the West’s geopolitical dominance, said Riecke.
“We’re now hoping that Helsinki doesn’t produce a complete break of Western consensus,” he said. “If Trump makes specific special deals with Russia that he didn’t pre-negotiate inside NATO, that would be a problem.”
Now caught between a geopolitical rock and a hard place, many Germans and political analysts say Merkel needs to take advantage of her position at the helm of Europe’s ideological and economic engine to return some semblance of normalcy to the East-West relationship.
That could take the shape of hiking up defense spending and bending slightly to Trump’s demands, but not to the point that she looks like a “poodle of Trump,” said Riecke.
And with Putin, that could mean leveraging Germany’s historical cooperation with Russia to salvage the relationship, “while also holding the European Union together and promoting European harmony,” said Sabine Reed, a city planner in Berlin in her 50s.
With Trump in particular, said Gressel, the key is appeasement and waiting it out to minimize the damage that his unilateral actions could have on Germany, the European Union and beyond.
“Germans don’t want to do a lot of damage on their end,” he said. “They basically want to freeze relations and hibernate the transatlantic relationship through the Trumpian winter. And with whomever succeeds him we can start talking serious stuff again.”
Austin Davis reported from Berlin.

FBI Files Prove Robert Mueller Approved 9/11 Cover-Ups

mikenova shared this story from Your News Wire.

During special counsel Robert Mueller’s time as director of the FBI from 2001 to 2013, he actively sought to cover up disturbing links between a Saudi family in Florida and the Sept. 11 terror attacks, according to bombshell FBI files that throws grave doubt on the character of the man investigating President Trump and his campaign.
According to a report filed by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune last year, when the terrorists who carried out the devastating attack that left 2,977 Americans dead first arrived in America, they relied on a network of associates across the country to “get apartments, open bank accounts and connect with local mosques.”

They essentially used family and friends to get settled in and begin making preparations for their planned attack. This brings us to a mysterious Saudi Arabian family “who were living in Sarasota County (Florida) shortly before the 9/11 attacks” but disappeared shortly thereafter.
“Alerted by neighbors’ suspicions about a lack of activity and three vehicles apparently abandoned in the driveway and garage, FBI agents converged on 4224 Escondito Circle within weeks of the 9/11 attacks” and found “mail on the table, dirty diapers in the bedroom, made beds, a refrigerator full of food, and closets with entire wardrobes intact,” according to the Herald-Tribune.
ConservativeTribune reports: It was as if they had chosen to leave at a moment’s notice. As a result, many suspected the family had held ties of some sort to the Sept. 11 attacks.
Now fast-forward to 2011, when Florida Bulldog first unveiled these extraordinary facts in an exclusive report that quickly went viral across the nation, attracting attention from the Miami Herald and other notable papers.
In response, FBI officials “immediately repudiated the story, asserting that it had thoroughly investigated the Sarasota family and could find no links with the hijackers,” according to the Herald-Tribune.

Now fast forward another year to 2012, when the Florida Bulldog watchdog organization filed a Freedom of Information Act suit against the FBI, demanding it release its records on the Saudi family.
When the watchdog group finally obtained the records a year later, it noticed a bombshell sentence within them: “Further investigation of the (name deleted) family revealed many connections between the (name deleted) and individuals associated with the terror attacks on 9/11/2001.”
What wasn’t redacted was the address, 4224 Escondito Circle, i.e., the same one as the aforementioned Saudi family. This stunning piece of evidence proved that the FBI had known from day one that the Saudi family did in fact have verified links to the Sept. 11 attacks and had therefore lied in 2011.
Moreover, according to additional FBI records reviewed in January by Florida Bulldog, it appears it was Mueller who ordered the agency to lie.
“Mueller … is referenced in a document index created in late November by the FBI at the direction of U.S. District Judge William J. Zloch of Fort Lauderdale,” the watchdog group reported.
“The index reference to former FBI Director Mueller is contained in an item about a FBI white paper that was written one week after the Bulldog and the Miami Herald simultaneously published the Bulldog’s story about the abrupt departure of Saudis Abdulaziz and Anoud al-Hijji from their Sarasota area home about two weeks before 9/11.”
Here’s the kicker: The white paper “was created to brief the FBI Director concerning the FBI’s investigation of 4224 Escondito Circle,” as quoted directly from the index.
Florida Bulldog further notes that the white paper was created on the exact same day that the FBI issued its lies to the media denying the existence of evidence proving the family had ties to the Sept. 11 attacks.
What does all this mean? Well, assuming the picture painted by the clear-cut evidence is accurate, the man currently investigating President Donald Trump for collusion/obstruction/whatever is a bald-faced liar, point blank, period.

Donald Trump vows to reopen 9/11 terror attack investigation

COLD CASE: Trump has vowed to reopen the 9/11 investigationDisenfranchised working class voters propelled the billionaire reality star into the White House this week in one of the biggest election upsets in US history.
In his first days as President-elect, Republican Trump has given few clues on how he plans to honour his pledge to “Make America Great Again”.
But ahead of his Brexit-style election earthquake, Trump threatened to lift the lid on one of the most catastrophic terror attacks in modern history.

DISASTER: Almost 3,000 people died in the monstrous terror attackSpeaking at a Republican rally in Henrico County, Virginia, Trump pledged to launch a fresh probe into the 2001 September 11 attacks.
He claimed that the attack by Islamic terrorist group al-Qaida was not properly investigated and vowed to get to the bottom of it.
Pressed about the attacks on the World Trade Center, and his plan to prevent further massacres, he said: “First of all, the original 9/11 investigation is a total mess and has to be reopened.
Speculating over the collapse of the skyscraper after the attack, he said: “How do two planes take out three buildings in the same day?
“I never got my head around the fact that nothing is mentioned about the destruction of Building 7 in the 585-page document.”

ATTACK: The World Trade Center was targeted in 2001Accusing “19 high-jackers from Saudi Arabia” of carrying out the attack, he blasted George Bush’s administration for not taking legal action against the country in the February debate.
He added: “The World Trade Center came down during the reign of George Bush.
“He kept us safe? That is not safe. That is not safe.
“Americans deserve answers and I would definitely request a new investigation so that this horrible tragedy never happens again.”

RIDDLE: Conspiracy theorists claim the towers were brought down intentionallyLike many of his other seemingly off-the-cuff election promises, it is not yet clear whether he intends to re-open the 9/11 probe.
Although there is little establishment support for reopening the investigation, a number of government chiefs have demanded the case be revisited.
Former Governor of Florida Bob Graham has been demanding a new transparent investigation for years.
He said: “For years I have been campaigning for the release of the 2002 Joint Congressional Intelligence Committee 9/11 Inquiry’s report, to no avail.
“These missing pages point to the direct involvement of the government of Saudi Arabia.
“Why are these being kept secret? Who has to gain from these games of secrecy?”
9/11 investigationGETTY
REVOLUTION: Former Governor of Florida Bob Graham said the documents could ‘start a revolution’Due to a Freedom of Information exemption, the documents from the 9/11 Commission Report, released in 2002, were heavily redacted.
In the 28 pages released, the Saudi Arabian government claimed they were not responsible for supporting or financing the attacks.
Mr Graham added: “I have read these documents myself and if the American public knew what was in these documents, there would be a revolution tomorrow in the streets of America.
“Americans deserve to know the truth.”
Conspiracy theorists have claimed for years that the 9/11 attack was an “inside job” – known as a false flag attack – aimed at fuelling support for War on Terror.
There is no proof to stand up these claims – but truth seekers have pointed to footage which appears to show the Twin Towers explode before the planes hit.

Sturgess, 44, died in hospital last week after she was exposed to the poison.
The incident occured just miles from where ex-spy Sergei Skripal, and daughter Yulia, were attacked with the substance in Salisbury in March.
Met Police today released a statement saying they believe the source of the Novichok that killed Sturgess was a small bottle.
Sturgess’ partner Charlie Rowley, 45, remains in a critical condition but has regained consciousness.
Cops said a small bottle was recovered after searching the scene of Rowley’s house in Amesbury.
It was taken for tests where scientists confirmed the bottle contained Novichok.

TRAGEDY: Dawn Sturgess was killed by exposure to NovichokThe Met’s Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said: “This is clearly a significant and positive development.
“However, we cannot guarantee that there isn’t any more of the substance left and cordons will remain in place for some considerable time.
“This is to allow thorough searches to continue as a precautionary measure for public safety and to assist the investigation team.
“I also appreciate there is a lot of interest in this; however, we are not in a position to disclose any further details regarding the bottle at this stage.
“The safety of the public and our officers remains paramount and we are continuing to work closely with Wiltshire Police, scientists, health experts from Public Health England and other partners.”

Donald Trump 9/11 investigation reopenedGETTY
COLD CASE: Trump has vowed to reopen the 9/11 investigationDisenfranchised working class voters propelled the billionaire reality star into the White House this week in one of the biggest election upsets in US history.
In his first days as President-elect, Republican Trump has given few clues on how he plans to honour his pledge to “Make America Great Again”.
But ahead of his Brexit-style election earthquake, Trump threatened to lift the lid on one of the most catastrophic terror attacks in modern history.
Donald Trump 9/11 investigation reopenedGETTY

Amesbury poisoning: Novichok source revealed as small bottle

mikenova shared this story .

Source of Novichok that killed Dawn Sturgess revealed by policeFACEBOOK

Out of prison, notorious Russian mobster yearns to return home

mikenova shared this story .

NEW YORK (AP) — New York’s most notorious living Russian mobster just wants to go back to the motherland.
Once flush from heroin trafficking, tax fraud schemes and other criminal enterprises, Boris Nayfeld is now 70, fresh out of prison for the third time, divorced and broke. And he is left with few job prospects in his adopted country, at least those in line with his experiences.

“I can’t do nothing,” Nayfeld griped in a thick Russian accent between shots of vodka at a restaurant a few blocks north of Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach neighborhood, which has been a haven for immigrants from the former Soviet Union since the 1970s. “Give me a chance to start a new life.”
Get The Times of Israel’s Daily Edition by email and never miss our top stories Free Sign Up
Nayfeld, who still sports the shaved head, piercing eyes and tattooed, burly physique that made him an intimidating figure in the city’s Russian-speaking neighborhoods for decades, told The Associated Press he longs to move back to a homeland where his skill set connecting businesspeople of all stripes will yield better dividends.
But for now he is not allowed to leave, still facing three years’ probation from his latest prison term, which ended in October, a two-year stint for his role in a murder-for-hire plot that morphed into an extortion attempt.
“I lost everything,” Nayfeld grumbled over a multi-course meal capped with a meringue dessert called the Pavlova. “I lost job, I lost my time for stay in prison. I lost my wife. This is enough punish for me.”

Living straight is a new experience for Nayfeld, who first came to the U.S. from Belarus in the late 1970s with a wave of Jewish emigres from the former Soviet Union who said they were fleeing religious persecution. But by his own admission, Nayfeld got into crime as soon as he arrived to the US.
Over his career, Nayfeld, also known as Biba, has been convicted of fraud, tobacco smuggling and shipping heroin stashed in TVs from Thailand via Poland. He has publicly threatened to kill rivals and escaped one attempt on his life when a bomb placed under his car failed to detonate.
In 1986, Nayfeld was shot in the hand when gunmen with automatic weapons burst into an office where he ran a lucrative gasoline tax-skimming scheme, killing a friend and fellow criminal named Elia Zeltzer, after whom his son, Eli, is now named. And he was at the scene a year earlier when the feared Russian godfather Evsei Agron was assassinated.
Nayfeld, who was dubbed an “organizer, enforcer and narcotics distributor” for the Russian mafia in a 1997 US Customs intelligence report, said he has no regrets about his life of crime.
“Never. No. When I’m born again, I do it the same,” he said.
At his sentencing last July, an assistant US attorney told a federal judge that while Nayfeld has “for most of his adult life been in Russian organized crime,” and effectively traded on his reputation to extract payment from a wealthy Russian-born shipping magnate going through a bitter divorce, he’s not actually that scary anymore.
“And so I think perhaps we are at a moment where the reinforcing cycle of the myth of Boris Nayfeld has probably reached its end,” said the prosecutor, Andrew Thomas.
That remains to be seen, said Judge Katherine Forrest, who imposed the lighter sentence with “some discomfort” based on the government’s recommendation, according to a transcript of the proceeding.
For his part, the burly Nayfeld said he is determined not to return to prison.
Getting by on a $750-a-month Social Security check, he said he is avoiding most of the locations where former associates and criminals from a younger generation of Russians gather — except, that is, for the bathhouse.

He has decided to once again trade in on his reputation, shopping his life rights to production companies considering a reality TV show featuring past players from the Russian criminal underworld, according to his son, Eli Kiperman.
In many ways, the Brooklyn that Nayfeld has returned to doesn’t resemble the rough-and-tumble streets he once roamed, when crime, especially violent crime, among Russian immigrants in New York hit historic highs in the early 1990s. Back then, warring outfits of Russian crooks littered the streets with bodies.

Still, said Seva Kaplan, a Russia-born radio host who struck up an unlikely friendship with Nayfeld years after the now-aging gangster threatened to kill him at the request of a mutual acquaintance, Russian criminals today run a range of enterprises throughout New York, including moneymaking Medicaid and credit card fraud rings, as well as traditional protection rackets, gambling and prostitution operations.
After the infamous mob boss Agron was killed, Nayfeld served as a bodyguard and chauffer for the next don of the Russian mob, Marat Balagula.
Balagula maintained an office at the El Caribe Country Club, a Brooklyn catering hall and event space owned by the uncle of President Donald Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.
The uncle, Dr. Morton Levine, said that all his nieces and nephews have an ownership in the company, but that Cohen “gave up his stake,” after Trump was elected.
Nayfeld is a Trump supporter, and believes the special counsel investigation into the Trump campaign’s contact with Russia, and the nonstop news coverage about it, is over the top and counterproductive to US-Russian relations.
Trump “is a businessman, he don’t care who give him money for project,” Nayfeld said. “I’m the same.”

Who can be behind the Amesbury incident?Click to see the full-size image

On Saturday, June 30, in the British City Amesbury (12 km from Salisbury) there was an incident which initially seemed to be common and insignificant: with a difference of several hours, Salibury District Hospital admitted a man and a woman: 45-year-old Charlie Rowley and 44 year old Dawn Sturges. Initial conclusions of doctors indicated that the couple was poisoned by a narcotic substance (heroine or crack cocaine).
However, on July 4, Assistant Commissioner of Specialist Operations Neil Basu announced that Charlie Rowley and Dawn Sturges were exposed to the poison agent of the class “Novichok” (the nerve agent Novichok). According to him, this is evidenced by tests, conducted in the laboratory of Porton Down, located nearby. The statement of Neil Basu provoked a series of publications in British and world media, which somehow linked the incident in Amesbury with the case of Skripals and mentioned the possible involvement of Russia. On July 5 British authorities notified the Organization of Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) of this incident.

To date, it is unclear if Novichok was actually used in Amesbury, as well as who was responsible for the incident. Representatives of British authorities did not hasten to openly accuse Russia of a targeted attack on British citizens, but later the Minister of Internal Affairs Sajid Javid, came out with a harsh statement once again accusing Russia of attacking Sergei and Yulia Skripal, while saying that Russia already launched a campaign misinforming the public about the incident in Amesbury.
It is worth noting here that there are many contradictions in the statements of representatives of the British authorities. The Security Minister, Ben Wallace and the south west deputy director of Public Health of England, Debbie Stark claimed a low level of danger to the residents of Amesbury and its surrounding areas. At the same time, the representative of Public Health England recommended that everyone who was out in the streets of Amesbury on Friday June 29 to wash their clothes and personal belongings.
A new round of the information campaign devoted to the “Novichok”, and accusations against Russia is unfolding in the midst of an attempt to normalize relations between Russia and the Western countries. Recall that a meeting between the President of Russia and the President of the United States is scheduled for July 16 in Helsinki. Its purpose is to discuss key issues between bilateral relations of Moscow and Washington. Aside from that, Russia is successfully hosting the World Cup. The level of organization of the championship, and the Russian reality, which turned out to be quite different than what was depicted in the western media, has already changed the perception of Russia in the eyes of millions of people around the world. It is also noteworthy that on July 1 Sweden decided not to engage in the previously announced boycott of the Word Cup.
Poisonous substance of the “Novichok” type, which, according to the conclusions of scientists from Porton Down, was allegedly used to poison the couple from Amesbury, and which was previously used in March 2018 on Sergei and Julia Skripal, is covered by the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. All information about this type of poisonous substances comes mainly from the mass media, and the conclusions are based on the book of the American chemist Vila Mirzayanov, whose reliability is questioned.
Current facts on the events surrounding the incident in Amesbury are insufficient to make definite conclusions about who can be behind the act. However, there are several main versions:

  • Dawn Sturges & Charlie Rowley were poisoned by the remnants of the substance used to poison Sergei and Julia Skripal.
  • The crime was committed by Russian Special Services with unclear goals. For example, some kind of operation used to discredit the British Special services.
  • The crime was carried out by the British Special Services with the view to discredit Russia on the eve of talks between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
  • The crime was committed by a third party (another state, a terrorist organization, an individual or a group of individuals) in order to strengthen the divide between Moscow and Washington, destabilize the system of international relations or for personal financial or other interests.
  • There could have been an act of negligence in dealing with dangerous substance of individuals mentioned in points 2-4, at the preparatory stages

Assuming for a moment that Dawn Sturges and Charlie Rowley were actually poisoned by “Novichok”, it is necessary to evaluate the reliability of different versions using the following criteria: the presence of a goal and motive; availability of appropriate opportunities (financial, organizational, technical). In this case, the version according to which the British couple was poisoned by the remnants of a poisonous substance allegedly used to poison Sergei and Yulia Skripal, seems unlikely because of the inability to preserve its properties by poison agents for 4 months from the time of the Salisbury incident. The version that Dawn Sturges and Charlie Rowley found remnants of the substance used to prepare the attack on the Skripals also fails to withstand any criticism.
Russia along with its special services has the financial, technical and organizational capabilities to carry out such an operation. At the same time, there is no clear purpose and motive. It is difficult to consider this as a desire to discredit British intelligence and counterintelligence. Similarly, it makes no sense that the Russian military and political leadership is pursuing foreign policy, guided by irrational aims and motives, and thereby creating an information campaign which mainly damages Russia’s image amid the upcoming political negotiations with the US and the ongoing World Cup.
The UK, just like Russia, has the appropriate capabilities to conduct the corresponding operation. At the same time, the British leadership is displeased with the upcoming meeting of the Russian and US presidents and the possible normalization of relations between Moscow and Washington. However, it is unlikely that London would choose to discredit Russia by means of carrying out an operation with an attack on its own citizens, or, as with the version about Russia’s involvement, it is necessary to recognize the irrationality of the goals of the London leadership.
The most likely explanation is an involvement of a third party that is not directly evident in the news or bulletins. This party would have the goals and motives for carrying out an operation similar to that which could have happened in Amesbury. This party could be:

  • Individual states that are not interested in improving relations between Russia and the United States (for example Ukraine or the Baltic countries)
  • Terrorist organisations (ISIS, Jabhat al Nusra, etc)
  • Certain representatives of special services acting on their own initiative or acting in the interests of other, non-systemic forces
  • Individuals, transnational cooperation or a network of individuals and interest groups from different countries.

The financial, organizational and technical capabilities of such regional players as Ukraine, although they are limited in comparison with key international players, may theoretically be sufficient to carry out such an operation. This assumption is also true for the version about the involvement of terrorist organizations. However, if we consider this assumption as probable, we should acknowledge the insolvency of the British intelligence services, who failed to identify and prevent such a crime in time, especially in the conditions of increased security measures introduced in the UK after the March incident.
The probability of the action of individual representatives of special services acting on their own initiative is low. However, one can not exclude that such persons could act in the interests of other – non-systemic – forces, for example, a private player, a transnational corporation or a network of players. Opportunities for the implementation of a similar action for a player (players) with adequate financial resources are sufficient. Thus, the purposes and motives can carry both a financial character, and a deeper one, which is hidden from the understanding of the general public.
When analyzing the motives of this whole situation, the main issue is the personality of the victims who have nothing to do with either the Skripals, the international agenda, or big money. Accordingly, the highest probability is that we are dealing with the fifth scenario: with negligence in dealing with the dangerous substance of individuals acting in line with the motives mentioned above i.e. the substance was not used against real targets but was accidentally used against random individuals.
To date, it is not known for sure whether the toxic agent of the class “Novichok” was actually used in the incident in Amesbury. The main sources of information on this topic are representatives of British services involved in the investigation. The emergence of new information, the process of investigation, its completeness and transparency, can have a significant impact on the development of relations between Russia and the West: to strengthen or further undermine confidence between these countries.
The possibilities for independent planning and implementation of such an operation were available to all the players listed above. However, the motives, goals, and also the way to realize possible goals, indicates the presence of a third force, interested not only in the deterioration of relations between Russia and the United States, but in general in deepening the destabilization of the system of international relations.
Further development of events will depend on the actions and statements of the main players involved in the incident. In the event of the implementation of the conflict scenario, Moscow and London will blame each other for carrying out this operation with a view to mutually discredit each other. At the same time, both sides understand the complexity and ambiguity of the situation and its possible consequences: the first statements of the representatives of the two countries can be characterized as cautious, which means that the probability of a de-escalation scenario, as well as the prospect of finding the true customers and executors of the crime, remains.

A newlywed man has been killed and his bride was left in a serious condition in hospital after they collided on a zipline while on their honeymoon.
Egael Tishman, a 24-year-old Israeli, and his wife Shif Fanken, 27, got into the accident around 1.30pm on Thursday in Honduras, local media reports.
The pair had boarded Royal Caribbean cruise ship Allure of the Seas in the US after their wedding on Saturday before arriving on the island of Roatán five days later.

Firefighters said the pair decided to take part in a zipline experience, with Royal Caribbean’s website advertising an Extreme Caribe Zip Line Tour on the island.
Shif was sent down the zipline first but became stuck around halfway down, rescue workers said. Her husband then came down afterward and smashed into her.

Both of the newlyweds survived the initial crush but sustained serious injuries including fractured ribs, according to the Washington Post.
Firefighters said the husband complained he was struggling to breathe in the ambulance and was given oxygen.
The following morning, rescue workers were informed that he had died. It is not clear how he perished, but reports indicate it could have been from a brain aneurysm.

On Friday morning Shif was transported by air ambulance to America, where she underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition.
The Honduran tourism board has denied the accident was the fault of zipline staff and said it was down to ‘incorrect operation’ by the couple.
All proper safety procedures were followed by staff, the Honduran Institute of Tourism said.
An investigation is now underway to determine exactly how the accident happened.

freak zip-lining accident aboard a Caribbean cruise ship has claimed the life of a newlywed Israeli man after he collided with his wife.
Twenty-four-year-old Egael Tishman and 27-year-old Shif Fanken were enjoying a Royal Caribbean cruise near Honduras when tragedy struck at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Zip-lining was an activity aboard their cruise ship and the newly married couple wanted to partake.
Tishman went down the line first, but got stuck halfway. Without realizing the hold up, Fanken took off and heavily collided with her husband. According to Honduras newspaper La Prensa, both were seriously injured and needed to be taken to hospital. Tishman died overnight and Fanken was taken to a hospital in the United States for treatment.

Erik Prince: I ‘Cooperated’ With Mueller

mikenova shared this story from The Daily Beast Latest Articles.

Erik Prince, the founder of private security company Blackwater, has found himself embroiled in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of potential coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
During the campaign, Prince reportedly met at Trump Tower with Donald Trump Jr., operative George Nader, and social media specialist Joel Zamel to discuss a potential pro-Trump social media influence operation. He also met with Russian sovereign wealth fund manager Kirill Dmitriev during the transition period—a meeting reportedly planned to set up a backchannel between the Trump administration and Russia. Those revelations raise questions about his relationship to the Trump administration—questions Mueller is reportedly investigating.
Prince, a billionaire and the brother of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, has also lobbied for a massive overhaul of the way the Afghanistan War is being prosecuted, pushing for increased reliance on private contractors to train Afghan troops to fight the Taliban. Prince was also recently the subject of an in-depth Washington Post report about the work his security company Frontier Services Group is doing in China. The report quoted critics saying Prince’s work runs counter to American interests in Asia.
This is Prince’s first on-the-record interview in months. It has been lightly edited for clarity.
There’s been a lot of reporting that Mueller’s interested in some of the meetings you had in the lead-up to the campaign and after the election and I was just wondering if you could tell me if you’ve heard from anyone on Mueller’s team?
I certainly understand the intense interest in the investigation and certainly some of the wild-eyed reporting in the media. I have spoken voluntarily to Congress and I also cooperated with the special counsel. I have plenty of opinions about the various investigations but there’s no question some people are taking it seriously and I think it’s best to keep my opinion on that to myself for now. All I will add is that much of the reporting about me in the media is inaccurate, and I am confident that when the investigators have finished their work, we will be able to put these distractions to the side.
You told the House intelligence committee that the Seychelles meeting [with Dmitriev] was unplanned, but ABC reported that George Nader briefed you on it beforehand. What do you make of that ABC reporting?
All I can say is, there’s been a lot of media reporting about me over the years and most of it is wrong. They get it wrong way more than they ever get it right.

“I have spoken voluntarily to Congress and I also cooperated with the special counsel.”
— Erik Prince

What do you think the United States’ posture toward Russia should be? Do you support the president’s rhetoric about trying to thaw that relationship?
Absolutely. As I’ve said before, if Franklin Roosevelt can work with Joseph Stalin to defeat German fascism, Nazi fascism, national socialist fascism, then certainly Donald Trump can work with Putin to defeat Islamic fascism. And I think good statesmanship could even start to drive a wedge between Russian policy and Iran policy because we can disagree vehemently on their policy in Ukraine but we don’t have to be, certainly, their enemy in the Middle East. And even from a NATO perspective, I mean look, remember, 400,000 Americans died in World War II. Twenty-two million Russians died breaking the Nazi army. And from a Russian perspective, there are more unfriendly nations aligned on their borders now than at any time since May of 1940. So I don’t think we have to be provocative with NATO and I think it’s a good idea for the president to reach out diplomatically. I mean for heaven’s sakes, he’s sitting down and talking to Kim of North Korea. Putin is a much more rational actor and I think it’s totally appropriate for the president to sit down and try to thaw the situation.
Could you tell me some about what your relationship with this administration is like and particularly if you’ve had any conversations with new national security adviser John Bolton about your Afghanistan proposal?
No, not yet. I’ll tell you, I have just made an op-ed and it’s being submitted to various publications because I’m getting ready to make a big push on that again because the president gave the Pentagon what they wanted, more money, more troops, and what we’ve got is more death and more carnage and clearly we’re not winning. And since the last op-ed [in The New York Times, arguing for a new war strategy focused on using contractors], I’ve certainly done homework and research to the point where the White House was asking last summer for a very detailed concept of operations and budget, how to do this differently and far more cheaply. And so having let that bake for a year, we have a very different plan that would save the taxpayers well north of $40 billion and it would tie off the conventional involvement of the Pentagon from Afghanistan.

Thank You!
You are now subscribed to the Daily Digest and Cheat Sheet. We will not share your email with anyone for any reason.

What do you make of how Defense Secretary Jim Mattis is handling the Afghanistan war?
Well here’s the thing, what worked after 9/11 were a few CIA case officers and special forces guys backed by air power working with the locals. When we went to a conventional Pentagon battle plan, we’ve gone backwards ever since. The Pentagon has largely mirrored the approach of the Soviet army in Afghanistan, with the same results. Secretary Mattis inherits the momentum of a big machine going in one direction, and that machine will continue, like Newton’s first law, an object tends to remain in motion until it’s acted upon by a greater force. Hopefully Donald Trump is that force to change course, to put us on a winning strategy. Look this year the United States will spend $62 billion in Afghanistan, the OCO [overseas contingency operations—the Pentagon’s war funds] and all the money they have for all the overseas basic support for that theater. More than a million dollars a week while we are $21 trillion in debt. And now there are American kids dying there who were toddlers when the Twin Towers came down. We don’t need a multigenerational war in America.
Do you worry that Mattis is a countervailing force against the president’s arguably better instincts on Afghanistan? Do you worry that he is a voice for the status quo?
All I will say on that is that the president asked for options last year and the only options he was given by his then very conventional national security adviser, a three star honor officer and the Pentagon was more money and more troops or pull out. And there wasn’t a whole lot of innovation presented to the president. I’m going to make a hard push again because I think the president was close to listening to an unconventional approach but given it was right around the time of those terrible race riots in Charlottesville and I think the president took a pounding for that and I don’t think he was ready to do something unconventional in Afghanistan. But with the makings of a successful summit in Singapore, perhaps the president’s ready to try a different approach.

“I think the president was close to listening to an unconventional approach but given it was right around the time of those terrible race riots in Charlottesville… I don’t think he was ready to do something unconventional in Afghanistan.”
— Erik Prince

Do you think John Bolton is going to be more open to your proposal than his predecessor H.R. McMaster was?
I think so. If past performance is indicative of future performance, that’s probably the case.
Have you picked up on any signs that the U.S. might be negotiating with the Taliban to wind down the war?
I’m well acquainted with a number of people that are involved in the peace counsel, and to say that you’re negotiating with the Taliban, it’s a very fractured—it’s not like it was under [former Taliban chief] Mullah Omar. And some Taliban units might want to reconcile but others absolutely not. The big issue is, no one has any confidence with the government because if a Taliban unit reconciles, they’re going to immediately need protection from the other Taliban units or from the Daesh guys or even from the ISI [Pakistan’s intelligence agency]. And those guys play for keeps. They don’t wipe out an entire village, tribe or whatever. So I don’t see a lot of those units wanting to do it until the Afghanistan security forces demonstrate showing up reliably with combat power to defend their interests. So when an Afghan unit still gets surrounded and annihilated over a matter of days, that wouldn’t give anyone a lot of confidence and trust in the government’s protection.
The Post had a big story about the work that Frontier Services Group is doing in China [reporting that the firm is training Chinese police and military officials]. They reported that there had been a spate of departures of American executives over the course of the last year because those executives believed that your company’s work in China could conflict with U.S. interests. Is that correct?
I would say they departed for underperformance and, look, there was a huge mischaracterization by the Post. Once again, they get it wrong. FSG has not provided any training to the Chinese military or police or anything like that at all. And this idea where they try to feed this picture of a Blackwater-like facility in China, just think of how ridiculous that is. There’s no firearms ownership in China at all. So the idea of a contractor providing anything in China is not only 100 percent, it’s 10,000 percent impossible.
You were saying that FSG hasn’t done any training of any Chinese police or military personnel. ThePost was unequivocal that you guys had. The Post was just completely wrong about that?
The company has a very minority investment in a training facility that perhaps in the past has provided that, but nothing under anyway FSG’s control, auspices whatsoever. FSG is only training its own bodyguard personnel for terrorism avoidance. No firearms, no tactics, nothing like that.
The Post quoted some critics of yours suggesting that it runs counter to American values for you to do the work you’re doing with the Chinese, suggesting that it’s unpatriotic. What do you say to those criticisms?
When the D.C. beltway pundits mock my patriotism, I almost take it as a badge of honor. I’m certainly not doing anything and never have done anything contrary to America’s interests. The only thing FSG does now is provide transportation by road throughout Africa. We haul groceries, we provide medevac [medical evacuation] support and in the future we provide transportation, medevac, or even security for infrastructure, mining, or energy projects invested in or financed by any number of companies, be they Hong Kong, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Western companies operating in Africa and Asia.
One thing the Post said is that Frontier has a facility in China’s Xianjiang province. Is that correct?
It’s an office and it’s a place to transfer truck trailers at most. There’s no training base or facility. I think there was a translation problem where people say, oh, you have a base there. It is not a base as any Westerner would imagine. It is basically a logistics yard.
Is FSG doing work connected to the development of the One Belt One Road infrastructure project?
One Belt One Road is a characterization. It’s certainly an effort by China to extend logistics lines to tie into neighbors’ markets more effectively. So if you’re hauling copper ore out of a mine in Africa, you can technically say that’s part of the One Belt One Road. But we haven’t done any new programs that have been announced so technically for now I would say FSG is not. Will they be in the future? It’s possible, it depends on what the bids are for any company, whether you’re bidding to support a Mitsubishi program out of Japan, a Chinese company, or any one of the major oil or mining companies out of the West. But FSG doesn’t exist solely to support One Belt One Road.
Do you worry that One Belt One Road is an effort to undermine U.S. influence?
No, I think that people that trade well together tend to cooperate economically and politically much better than the people that don’t trade. And when I look at the transformative effect that, for example, a railroad when it finally connected in the 1870s America, it took what was a 180-day voyage by foot and horse down to six days. And so for China to put down money to build a highway or a railway across parts of Africa or Asia, it’s a hugely positive transformative effect on people’s lives in those neighboring countries.
I think the United States should shift away from its focus solely on counterterrorism and military spending. And we can certainly spend money a lot smarter on infrastructure programs than we do now, certainly than we’ve done in the last 20 or so years. I’ll throw you a simple comparison, the whole China/Pakistan economic corridor is about $40 billion over eight years. That’s the amount of finance that China’s committed to pipelines, rails, and hydropower. We’re blowing that now as a country in nine months in Afghanistan. And I would say we are wasting it. So if the United States wants to have lasting influence in these places, let’s spend money a little smarter and invest in things that last.
What do you make of the emerging coalition of the Saudis, the Emiratis, Israel, and the United States working together to isolate Iran? Do you think that’s a good thing?
Sure, certainly. The Iranians are really good at subversion and hybrid war, they’ve been doing it really well in Lebanon for decades, they’re doing it in Yemen now, and I think all the regions from the Gulf see Iran trying to behave like a hegemon. And a hegemon with nuclear weapons is even more dangerous.[Iran does not have any nuclear weapons and gave up much of its capacity to develop them under a deal made during the Obama administration—ed.] And I think their economy is not in great shape, their population is upset, and I think most of the population of Iran wants to live a much more free and secular life, and having the nations unite against them, their neighbors, is an overall positive thing.
Going back to the Post’s story, one thing they referred to was the possibility that there’s a DOJ investigation related to aircraft being considered for sale to the Azerbaijanis. What do you make of that whole issue?
I know nothing of that at all.
You’ve advocated for increasing the use of contractors in Afghanistan. Are there any other crisis flashpoints where you think that type of approach would be helpful? Do you see an increased use for contractors dealing with the border crisis or dealing with the war in Yemen?
Let’s leave that one for the next interview. That’s a whole nother article.

Mike German: Where was the FBI through all this time?

Mike German
Mike German:
You’ve been trained by the FBI as an investigator. With everything that has transpired with Trump, Comey, and the investigation into his campaign’s ties to Russia, what interests you most as an investigator? What doesn’t quite make sense?
What doesn’t make sense is Trump’s callous disregard for policies and practices that are established to protect the president from legal liability. His behavior shows little instinct for self-protection and frankly makes the special counsel’s job much easier. What interests me as an investigator is why the FBI and other intelligence agencies didn’t react quicker to the allegations that Russians had corrupt influence over Trump’s campaign, much less more mundane allegations of fraud.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper confirmed the British government warned U.S. intelligence agencies in late 2015 that Trump campaign officials were meeting with Russian intelligence agents. According to one report, Trump has been sued 4,000 times over the last 30 years. None of those cases included a fraud referral to the FBI? I find that hard to believe. The Treasury Department fined Trump’s Taj Mahal casino $10 million in 2015 for violating anti-money laundering requirements for over a decade. He also ran a fake charity and a fraudulent university.

Where was the FBI through all this time?

The intelligence side rarely receives scrutiny, however, and that is where most of the serious errors and abuse occur as a result. The problem is since 9/11 we’ve empowered the intelligence side of law enforcement and allow them to obscure more of their law enforcement activities from public view. My hope is the public concern over the current state of affairs will embolden members of Congress to be more aggressive in their oversight. But we have to apply that pressure.”

Demiurge As Dramaturge: Operation “Trump”

This play could be written by a person for whom the historical tragedy of Hitlerism was also his deeply felt personal and the ideological tragedy, and who views the situation from the Leftist positions, colored by the healthy dose of irony.
The Possible Behind The Scenes Screenwriter, Movie Director, and Producer: the films “Hamburg Cell” and (The Joker Vs) “The Dark Knight“.

Operation “Trump” and “Operation 9/11”

“Operation Trump” appears to be a sequel to “Operation 9/11” in certain respectsOne of the most interesting similarities, it seems to me, is that both operations were followed by the intensive, prolonged, and efficient disinformation campaigns. For the operation “Trump” it still is the continuing process.

The undeniable German Intelligence – Deutsche Bank Connection of the Trump – Russia Affair

Is Ernst Uhrlau The Joker?

The penchant for obtaining the computerized databases, by all means available, chimes well with the central characteristic of the recent waves of the “Performance Crimes“, and also the Trump-Russia AffairThese operations would be impossible without the sophisticated use of the comprehensive collections of the various databases

Ernst Urhlau and “Hamburg Cell”

The interactions between Ernst Ehrlau and Tyler Drumheller of CIA in the aftermath of 9/11: “He’s making us dance and he’s enjoying every minute of it. It makes him feel important.” Ehrlau’s behavior, from these descriptions, looks strange, puzzling, hostile, uncooperative, and defensive. This behavior and the circumstances of the Hamburg group raise further questions about Uhrlau’s possible association with the 9/11.

Was Mr. Ernst Ehrlau ever properly investigated?

How close is the Uhrlau’s association with the 9/11 and what is the nature of this association? It is absolutely inconceivable, in my humble opinion, that Herr Uhrlau, in his capacity as the chief of Hamburg Police, did not know, and possibly did not interact in some ways with the Hamburg cell of the future 9/11 hijackers. More than that, I think he was instrumental in conveying to the Russians the future hijackers’ original plan to go to Chechnya to fight as Islamists. They were diverted instead to the US and started their training there for the 9/11. “For all who draw the sword will die by the sword”, according to the old logic.
Whose idea was it? Who assisted with this diversion? What was Herr Uhrlau’s role in all of this? He was close to Schröder, and Schröder was and is close to Putin. Is this how their close cooperation and the relationship started and developed? Was the common strategy hatched in their interactions? What are the unique communication and operational tools that they used?

Anthony Weiner vs Erik Prince As The Antisemitic Narrative Of German Intelligence

The subject of the German Intelligence and Jewish Sexual Scandals through history might open the new chapter with the Weiner-Abedin emails affair and investigations, and the very curious emergence of “Anthony Weiner vs Erik Prince As The Antisemitic Narrative Of German Intelligence: American Jewish (“The WINNER!!!” – [in WW2] – A. Weiner) Prince vs. Aryan Prince“.

The Questions, Unanswered and Unasked

“Trump Russia affair: Key questions answered”, claimed the BBC. Me thinks humbly, that the key questions were not even asked, and the main question among them remains definitely unanswered: Who really was behind all of this? The issue of the possible “combined and complex ‘who’, a group of actors”, and for what really purposes, has to be addressed. This issue is still unclear, and the deep digging here might strike the gold of truth, eventually.

The problem is that we do not even ask ourselves these types of questions or we do not ask them persistently enough.

The smart German boy Ernst might have fooled everyone: Putin, the Oligarchs, and the Great America! “Deutschland Uber Alles”!

These noble mediating efforts on the part of Mr. Uhrlau might be humane and sincere, in addition to being the valuable tools for his own strategies; however they do not make the contemporary professional German Intelligence, and looking broader, the contemporary German society, any less (and traditionally and deeply) antisemitic, and if anything, these efforts serve as the very convenient covers, in my as always very humble opinion. One thing we can learn here: Mr. Uhrlau manages his publicity and his Internet and Google presence very well, with the deft adeptness of the true and skillful master, which can be viewed as the confirmation of my hypothesis regarding him as the possible “Demiurge”.
It is difficult to envisage how the certain states can be friends if their nature and the nature of their relations with the other states and social groups are deeply and irreversibly predatory.
Mr. Uhrlau, why don’t you tell us your story, the whole story; the truth and nothing but the truth?! This might be a fascinating story, a lesson for humanity, a subject of studies for the jury of your peers.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico —

A compact Hurricane Beryl, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season, was on a path early Saturday that would carry it over the Lesser Antilles at the end of the weekend and into the eastern Caribbean, bringing a new threat to islands still rebuilding from last year’s storms.

A hurricane watch was issued for Dominica, which was battered by Hurricane Maria in September as a Category 5 storm. The island’s meteorological service said weather conditions would start deteriorating Saturday night and warned of six to 12 inches of rain. A tropical storm watch was issued for the French Caribbean territories of Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Martin and St. Barts as well as the islands of Barbados and St. Lucia. Deeper into the Caribbean, a state of emergency was declared in Puerto Rico, where Maria caused more than an estimate $100 billion in damage.

Beryl formed Friday and was a Category 1 storm late in the day. At 8 a.m. Saturday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said Beryl had maximum sustained winds of 75 mph (120 kph). It was centered 780 miles (1260 kilometers) east-southeast of the Lesser Antilles and was moving west at 14 mph (22 kph).

CURRENT FORECAST TRACK FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER

The hurricane became less organized on Saturday morning and forecasters said it soon could be downgraded to a tropical storm.

People in the Caribbean, however, were taking no chances. Long lines were reported outside grocery stores on the islands of Dominica, Puerto Rico and elsewhere as people bought food and water as a preventive measure. Among those stocking up was Sandra Whitcher, an owner of Coffeeriver Cottages in Dominica.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico —

“We’re pretty prepared,” she said in a phone interview, adding that crews fortified the roofs on all seven cottages that survived Hurricane Maria. “Just because they go through one hurricane doesn’t mean they will go through a second one.”

Forecasters said Beryl would weaken further after entering the Caribbean late Sunday or early Monday. It was expected to pass about 70 miles (113 kilometers) south of Puerto Rico on Monday, but forecasters warned the storm-wracked U.S. territory could see up to 30 mph winds and heavy rains that could cause flooding and mudslides.

Meteorologist Odalys Martinez said in a phone interview that conditions would deteriorate late Sunday, with up to 3 inches (7.62 centimeters) of rain possible.

“There is a lot of uncertainty,” she said, adding that the storm’s track and strength could change in the next 24 hours.

Beryl is considered a small storm, with hurricane force winds extending out about 10 miles (20 kilometers) from its center. Forecasters said the storm probably would dissipate once it moved south of Haiti and the Dominican Republic on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello declared a state of emergency for the island and suspended work for Monday.

Rossello told reporters the island would probably experience power outages, given that its electricity grid has become more vulnerable since Hurricane Maria, which caused damage estimated at more than $100 billion. He said, however, that the recovery should be quicker since there are more power restoration crews and more equipment on the island now.

The governor urged people without sturdy roofs to move to one of the 424 shelters that the government planned to open across the island. He recently noted that some 60,000 people still have only tarps for roofs.

“There are a lot of Puerto Ricans who are in a vulnerable position,” Rossello said. “We are keeping an eye on this minute by minute. It is not the moment to panic, but it’s the moment to prepare.”

Puerto Rico Health Secretary Rafael Rodriguez urged all those with serious health conditions, including diabetics, to seek shelter at health facilities, which have generators.

Meanwhile, a tropical depression formed in the Atlantic well off the North Carolina coast, but forecasters said it wasn’t expected to pose any threat to land. The hurricane center said it would likely become a tropical storm Saturday and continue strengthening over the next few days while remaining far offshore.

At 11 p.m. EDT, the storm was centered about 195 miles (315 kilometers) south-southeast of Cape Hatteras with maximum sustained winds of 30 mph (48 kph). It was moving north-northwest at 6 mph (9 kph).

Alleged 9/11 mastermind linked to Hamburg cell

mikenova shared this story .

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, who authorities now believe conceived the Sept. 11 attacks, apparently met with the terrorist plot’s chief suicide hijackers in 1999 in Hamburg, Germany, U.S. intelligence officials said Wednesday.
A senior intelligence official said “several different sources” had placed Mohammed at the Hamburg apartment that was used for meetings by three of the Arabs who are believed to have piloted the hijacked planes, as well as by several others implicated in planning and funding the operation.
The new intelligence may help to solve one of the major puzzles about Sept. 11—who outside the hijacking teams helped coordinate their actions and provided the link to senior Al Qaeda leaders. Mohammed is now believed to have filled at least part of that pivotal role.
The intelligence official said interrogation of Al Qaeda prisoners captured in Afghanistan and elsewhere, as well as “tracing of documents” and other raw intelligence collected in recent months, indicated that Mohammed was one of the few people with direct knowledge of the recruiting, training, funding and other operational details behind the attacks.
“The number of people central to this plan was very small,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “He was one of them.”
Although Mohammed was little known to the public until this week, officials said he has now been tied to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, a foiled 1995 attempt to bomb 12 U.S. airliners over the Pacific, the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, and the Sept. 11 attacks on New York and the Washington area.
“He is the Forrest Gump of Al Qaeda,” a Bush administration official said. “He has more of a presence in some of their plots than we had previously known.”
The official said counter-terrorism experts had focused their attention over the last two years chiefly on the more high-profile Abu Zubeida, the Al Qaeda operations chief who was captured in March in Pakistan.
“Khalid Shaikh Mohammed had been quiet and had stayed off the airwaves,” the official added. “In hindsight, I don’t think people appreciated how important a player he had become in the Al Qaeda hierarchy. We are learning all that now.”
Mohammed was indicted by a U.S. court in 1996 for his alleged role in the airliner plot, but the federal arrest warrant was sealed so he wouldn’t know that authorities were scouring the globe for him.
Officials said it is still unclear precisely when Mohammed visited Hamburg, or which of the hijackers he met there. Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi and Ziad Jarrah—who are believed to have piloted three of the hijacked planes—lived in the northern German city for most of 1999.
Atta’s two roommates—Ramzi bin al-Shibh and Said Bahaji—also are suspected of participating in the plot. Unable to get a U.S. visa, Bin al-Shibh helped wire tens of thousands of dollars to the hijackers and to Zacarias Moussaoui, who was arrested before Sept. 11 and later was charged with conspiracy. Investigators have said Moussaoui was supposed to take bin al-Shibh’s place as the 20th hijacker.
Mohammed’s whereabouts are unknown, although officials hinted that at least one unsuccessful covert operation was launched to capture him in the late 1990s in the Middle East.
“We don’t have a real good bead on where’s he been,” another intelligence official said. “Obviously we’d love to talk to him.”
U.S. authorities are offering a reward of as much as $25 million for information leading to his capture. He is believed to be in Afghanistan or Pakistan.
Mohammed initially was known as an accomplice to Ramzi Yousef, the convicted mastermind of the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 and of a 1995 plot to detonate bombs aboard 12 U.S. airliners over the Pacific Ocean.
According to the 1996 U.S. indictment, Yousef, using the name Dr. Adel Sabah, rented an apartment in the Tiffany Mansion condominium building in the San Juan section of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, in August 1994.
In the next two months, Yousef and Mohammed lived there and used the location to mix chemicals for explosives. They were also in possession of “modified timing devices,” the indictment said.
On Dec. 1, 1994, they and a number of other men blew up an explosive device at Manila’s Greenbelt Theater. That was a test, authorities say, for the explosive device placed on Philippine Airlines Flight 434 from Manila to Tokyo 10 days later. The small bomb exploded in midair, according to the indictment, killing passenger Haruki Ikegami.
The plot was uncovered in January 1995 when Mohammed’s “bomb factory” caught fire and authorities searching Yousef’s computer found detailed plans to blow up the airliners. Abdul Hakim Murad, a commercial pilot who wanted to hijack planes, and Wali Khan Amin Shah, a suspected Bin Laden associate, were captured and convicted in the plot along with Yousef.
Also in the computer: a communication signed by “Khalid Shaikh” and an apparently related letter that threatened to attack American targets “in response to the financial, political and military assistance given to the Jewish state in the occupied land of Palestine by the American Government.”
The letter, apparently written by Mohammed and his associates, also threatened to assassinate the president of the Philippines, attack aircraft or even launch a biochemical attack if one of their co-conspirators was not released from custody.
At the time, U.S. counter-terrorism officials tried but failed to find connections between the group and the still-embryonic terrorist network called Al Qaeda.
They concluded, however, that Mohammed was unlike the low-level “soldiers” who had helped Yousef in the airliner plot, which was called Bojinka, Bosnian for “big noise.”
Mohammed, they said, appeared to be an equal to Yousef, and someone whom Yousef trusted and respected, said one former law enforcement official involved in that investigation and prosecution.
“Yousef was a one-man band who planned it, built [the explosives], and it never would have happened without him,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “The others were a bunch of clowns who couldn’t have done it without Yousef.”
Except Mohammed, the official said. “He was someone of stature that Yousef respected,” said the former official. He also said Mohammed was believed to be Yousef’s relative by marriage.
But Mohammed now appears to have had early links to the larger terror network. His citizenship remains in question—the FBI says he is from Kuwait, while other officials suspect he may be from Baluchistan, a Pakistani province. Moreover, he has had access to significant sums of money, an indication that others may be backing him, officials said.
“I was always under the impression that he had connections; he could move around, had money and could go from one place to another,” said the former official.
Later, authorities linked Mohammed to the 1998 bombings of the two U.S. embassies in Africa. On Wednesday, they said his role in those attacks was still being investigated.
Since Sept. 11, authorities have struggled to piece together the complex plot, as well as the Al Qaeda hierarchy and network that spawned it. They now have concluded that Mohammed had quietly risen from a low-level figure to a position of relative authority.
He had access to Zubeida and Bin Laden, and authorities now believe that he thought up the Sept. 11 plot, possibly incorporating elements of the first World Trade Center attack and the botched airliner plot.
“He’s definitely a player,” said the Bush administration official Wednesday. “He’s definitely a major guy. People have known about him for a while.”
The latest information places him in Hamburg in 1999, after the Sept. 11 cell had been assembled.
The young Arabs who formed it had arrived in Germany over the previous decade, but all were in Hamburg and were in contact with one another by 1998.
Atta came first, arriving as a student in 1992 from his home in Egypt. In early 1999, he moved out of student housing and into a refurbished apartment on Marienstrasse that investigators think served as the base for the cell.
Al-Shehhi moved to Germany from the United Arab Emirates in 1996, settling two years later in a Hamburg apartment close to Atta’s. Jarrah arrived in the fall of 1997.
German investigators think that the Hamburg group was chosen by Al Qaeda for their technical skills and relative sophistication. The investigators say the three probably were singled out at Al Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan, probably in late 1998 or early 1999.
In any case, German federal police say airline records show that the three presumed pilots, plus Bin al-Shibh, flew to Pakistan in late 1999, presumably en route to Afghanistan. The three pilots were in Florida by July 2000, the first leg of the U.S. travel that ultimately would end in the airborne attacks.

The 15 Russian Billionaires Tied To The Games

mikenova shared this story .

Viktor Vekselberg was recently sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Treasury. (Sefa Karacan/Anadolu Agency/Getty Images)

With Sergey Titov for Forbes Russia
AT LEAST 15 Russian billionaires found a way to get in on the World Cup, which begins in their homeland on June 14. They either received state contracts — just 6 of them control the companies that collected nearly $7 billion to construct or repair facilities and transportation infrastructure — or invested money to do things like run ticketing systems and provide internet availability in stadiums.
An estimated 1.2 million soccer fans will travel to and from 11 host cities for the month-long event. And while watchdog NGOs are calling this period the worst human rights crisis in Russia since the Soviet era due to Kremlin-sanctioned crackdowns on human rights defenders, migrant workers and the LGBTQ community, Putin’s billionaire pals will fare just fine. As the dollar figures alone indicate, in Russia, the same old cronies are getting richer yet again.
Net worths are Forbes estimates as of June 8, 2018.
Viktor Vekselberg, aluminum baron tied to Trump lawyer Michael Cohen
Net worth: $13.6 billion
Vekselberg, who reportedly had ties to an investment firm that paid $500,000 to an LLC owned by Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, was sanctioned earlier this year for his alleged role in promoting Russia’s subversive agenda abroad. Back at home, his firm Airports of Regions spent $560 million to renovate airports in four World Cup host cities: Ekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don and Samara.

Net worth: $2.6 billion
No one landed a bigger payday. Rotenberg runs contractor Mostotrest, which owns a subsidiary that received over $4 billion in state contracts for a 425-mile highway connecting St. Petersburg and Moscow. But the highway won’t be finished in time for the sporting event. His company also received just another $1 billion to renovate three airports.
Mikhail Fridman, German Khan, Alexei Kuzmichev, Pyotr Aven, tied to the “Trump Dossier”

Net worths: $13.6 billion, $8.8 billion, $6.8 billion, $4.7 billion
Fridman, Khan and Kuzmichev were former college classmates who in 1989 founded Alfa Group, a diversified outfit that controls Alfa-Bank, the largest non-state owned bank in Russia. Aven joined later in 1994 as President of Alfa-Bank. With 745 offices and branches throughout Europe, Alfa-Bank is a sponsor of the event and will support FIFA on all ticketing sales in exchange for billboard advertising during matches.

In late 2017 Fridman, Khan and Aven sued Fusion GPS, the Washington D.C.-based opposition research firm behind the “Trump Dossier,” for defamation. The dossier claims the three billionaires worked with the Kremlin to influence the 2016 presidential elections. Fusion GPS filed a motion to dismiss the case in January, claiming the research it conducted was not defamatory. The case is still pending.

Net worth: $1.7 billion
His Crocus Group was awarded $580 million in state contracts to erect two stadiums in host cities Kaliningrad and Rostov-on-Don. Agalarov also has a Trump connection: he met with Trump in November 2013 when the Miss Universe competition was hosted in Agalarov’s Crocus City Hall in Moscow. The developer’s son told Forbes there were plans to build a Trump Tower in Russia prior to the 2016 presidential elections, but the Trump Organization denies this.

12:45 PM 7/3/2018 – It is hypothetically quite possible that Abedin's BlackBerry device was clandestinely configured by someone who had access to it for a short period of time (1-5 minutes), or remotely, wirelessly by air. Both options are very realistic possibilities. Was this hypothetical explanation properly investigated? Who might have obtained a brief access to Abedin's device?

Huma Abedin did in fact back up her emails between her and Hillary Clinton on to her husband Anthony Weiner's laptop an examination by the State Department revealed
M.N.: Abedin’s BlackBerry device was “intentionally configured” to back-up emails. She did not do it, and denies knowing how to do it. A. Weiner did not have any reasons to do it either.
It is hypothetically quite possible that Abedin’s BlackBerry device was clandestinely configured by someone who had incidental access to it for a short period of time (1-5 minutes, it could cleaning or maintenance staff, etc. ), or remotely, wirelessly by air. Both options are very realistic possibilities.

Was this hypothetical explanation properly investigated?

Who might have obtained a brief access to Abedin’s device?

Were the Weiner’s sexting sessions used to obtain the wireless access to change the controls or configurations on the computer and/or devices? Was this done by the same players who might have, hypothetically, arranged or set up these sexting sessions themselves? Was this possibility adequately investigated?
How did Erik Prince know about the “upcoming Weiner’s arrest” and the NYPD investigation from the “very well placed source”, and how did Giuliani know about the “October Surprise”?
What are theirs, and also James Kallstrom‘s and the NY Branch of the FBI sources of information and connections, including the hypothetical connections with the foreign Intelligence Services, including the German Intelligence Services?
Germany is one of the few countries which has the sufficient cyber know-how to conduct these types of the operations, and more than sufficient experience in conducting sophisticated intelligence operations in general, and throughout the history.
These are the legitimate questions to ask.

“An examination by of emails released by the State Department shows that backup copies of many of Abedin’s work-related messages with Clinton were created in the dates after Clinton left the State Department in early 2013.
The emails, released at the end of December, show that they had been put on Weiner’s laptop by a BlackBerry archiving program.
A tech expert told that Abedin would have to have activated the backup program and may well have plugged her device into the laptop – raising further questions over her testimony to the FBI…
The messages were archived from ‘BBB Backup’ and ‘LoaderBackup’ from a BlackBerry Bold 9700 in February 2013 – weeks after Huma and Hillary left the State Department…
Huma had told the FBI that she did not have a way of preserving the messages she exchanged with her boss and said those conversations were ‘left on the system’…
The emails show they were sent in from Abedin’s BlackBerry on February 3, 2013 and February 7, 2013. She had left the State Department, like Clinton, on January 20…
The classified messages included discussions on Israel and other Middle Eastern issues from 2010, 2011 and 2012…
Abedin had told FBI investigators that she did not have a method of preserving the emails she exchanged on a private server with Clinton.
‘Abedin stated that she lost most of her old emails as a result of the transition [from the State Department].
‘She had only accessed clintonemail.com through a web portal and did not have a method for archiving her old emails prior to the transition,’ said notes taken during an FBI interview of Huma Abedin on April 5, 2016.
Abedin gave a similar response when she was deposed under oath by attorneys from Judicial Watch on June 28, 2016.
‘With respect to those State Department work-related emails on the accounts, what did you do, if anything, to preserve those emails?’ asked an attorney with Judicial Watch, according to a transcript of the deposition.
Abedin responded that she ‘did not do anything to preserve those emails’…
‘The instances where it was Clintonemail to Clintonemail, there were instances where the content of those emails had personal matters in there, and there may have also been State Department matters in there, too.
‘It was a – a combination. But I did not – I did not preserve those e-mails,’ added Abedin.
Abedin and other members of Clinton’s inner circle at the State Department used multiple email addresses – including one official State Department account, and another on Clinton’s private email server located at her home.
Abedin testified that she left all of her emails from her Clinton server account in her inbox after leaving the State Department. She said she did not delete any emails.
‘I just left everything on what – on the system, I guess,’ she said during her deposition.
The discovery of the existence of the Clinton server has led to a series of lawsuits by Judicial Watch.
It was during one of those that Abedin was deposed under oath and it was due to another one that the State Department had to release the latest tranche of emails last Friday.
Abedin has said she was not aware that her emails were on Weiner’s laptop and did not know how they ended up on his computer.
She reportedly used the laptop occasionally to check her messages.
Some of the emails found on Weiner’s laptop were forwarded to him directly from Abedin, their details show.
But many of them ended up on the computer through the backups of Abedin’s BlackBerry on February 3, 2013 and February 7, 2013. She had left the State Department, like Clinton, on January 20.
The messages were archived from ‘BBB Backup’ and ‘LoaderBackup’ from a BlackBerry Bold 9700.
Ariel Coro, a technology consultant and analyst for Univision, reviewed the emails and told DailyMail.com that

Abedin or someone working for her would have had to intentionally set up the backup program for her BlackBerry.

‘What you’re seeing here is a backup restore of what was sent from her phone,’ said Coro.

‘They set up a backup to be done when she plugged it in to her computer, to the laptop, or potentially over the air [remotely].

‘This is not an accident, this was configured to back up,

either directly [to the laptop] or through the air,’

he added. ‘This was something that was configured, or at least opted-in.’

That means that either Abedin, or an assistant, consciously set up the backup system or that she confirmed that she wanted to backup when she was prompted to by her BlackBerry.
Once that program was set up, it could be scheduled to archive her data automatically. It could have also been programmed to save phone contacts, photos, texts and other phone data.
The emails released by the State Department included at least five messages from Abedin that were marked ‘Classified’ and were found on Weiner’s laptop.
The government classifies information at that level when its exposure ‘reasonably could be expected to cause damage to national security.’
The classified messages included discussions on Israel and other Middle Eastern issues from 2010, 2011 and 2012. ”

Like Clinton, she was cleared by then FBI director James Comey in the wake of the investigation into the former Secretary of State and her staff’s handling of classified material.
Last Thursday it was revealed that the Department of Justice is looking again at the Clinton email investigation, after President Donald Trump’s provocative tweet calling for ‘jail’ for Abedin. It is also being examined by the FBI’s Inspector General.
