The Brits basically said: “We do not trust you enough to have the joint investigation with you.” This is sad (and logical, isn’t it?), regrettable, but understandable. I have the next idea and proposal for all the parties involved, and for the Russians in particular, since the onus and the burden of the defense was placed squarely on them; and since this affair involves the global security issues: 

Ask for the establishment of the Independent Investigative Committee under the aegis of the United Nations

and introduce this resolution at the Security Council. The best Defense is not the Offense in this case. The best Defense is the truth. And everyone should aim to get it. And it might become a good precedent. 
Personally, I will not rest until I help to get this truth out, for the sake of this truth itself, because it has the primary, predominant, and the all encompassing value.
