Documentary ‘20 Days in Mariupol’ wins Sundance audience award

Mstyslav Chernov’s documentary ‘20 Times in Mariupol’, depicting the early months of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has gained the viewers prize at the Sundance Film Competition in the United States.

The pertinent statement was made by Radio Liberty [Radio Svoboda], an Ukrinform correspondent studies.

“The movie captures the beginning of the whole-scale invasion, the bombing of a maternity residence and the rescue of the author and his colleagues from the Involved Press from the city surrounded by Russian troops,” the report states.

The movie manufacturing group involved also photographer Evgeniy Maloletka and area producer Vasilisa Stepanenko.

At the Sundance Movie Pageant, the film was shown in the World Cinema Documentary Competitiveness part.
