39-year-old Pavel Durov, who has dual citizenship of France and Russia, was taken into custody at Paris-Le Bourget airport on the evening of August 24 after a flight from Azerbaijan landed in France. Investigators from the National Anti-Fraud Office of the French Customs Department notified Durov that he was being taken into custody.
