Step 2 – The oil filter is located underneath our vehicle and shielded by a plastic guard. For the Sorento, there are four (4) 10mm hex bolts and two (2) plastic retainers. Remove these and the plastic guard slides right off when moved backwards. NOTE – the hex bolts do vary in length so remember which one belongs where!
