So at 3 or 4 on your guitar volume, you get a surprisingly clean tone without losing articulation and bottom. Push the pickup to between 5 and 7 and it delivers classic rock crunch in spades. When you dial it from 8 to 10 it gets very fat which is terrible for chords but awesome for soloing, especially high notes.
