The SOS call center confirmed it was not working. at the same time, the bluetooth phone mic was not working, and the person talking to me could barely hear what I was saying. there is a service bulletin (#36) regarding this issue, but apparently my VIN was not within the service bulletin’s range. the solution was to replace the telematics ECU.
