I did try wd-40, it help fad it out a bit but once the handle get wet again the marks return and the blood seems to start after the knife again. I found a place to get new scales fairly cheap so if I ruin them, eeh. This weekend I am going to try the oxi clean in a hypersonic case cleaner and see what happens. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
