Brazilian opposition senator Marcos do Val said that former President Jair Bolsonaro tried to coerce him into staging a coup after 2022 elections, according to a report by Veja magazine on Thursday.

Do Val said in an Instagram he would leave politics, stepping down from his position as senator.
